The box of In Win Commander 750W is with strong military theme – camouflage with well looking yellow writing that uses an appropriate font. The Commander insignia is too yellow and hard to miss at that. The only markings that blemish the otherwise strong military theme are the 80+ and SLI logos. Ironic, to say the least, since in fact they are the ones selling the product. The bottom of the box displays the full range of obligatory specifications:
Upon opening the box we are greeted by a Commander series leaflet. On its cover a group of heroic soldiers are struggling through snow covered mountain under the fading light of a dying sun on their way to a big PSU in the sky. Now why is the PSU (that we're reviewing today) there we'll never know. Maybe it watches over the soldiers, maybe it's their guiding light... Who's to say...
But let's look at the rest of the things that can be found inside. Surprisingly enough along with the manual, power cable and additional modular cables we got two carrying pouches:
The PSU itself is safely laid inside with a sufficient layers of bubble wrap around it:
The bottom of the PSU reveals the 140mm fan. The only non-modular cable of this PSU, as predictable is the 20+4 pin АТХ power cable:
The sides supply the information basics along with the yellow Commander insignia. The PSU itself is coated in pleasant oily green colour:
The top supplies more detailed product characteristics. And the modular connectors are clearly see on the front:
And here are the connectors. Each is covered by plastic cap for additional protection when it's not used. See?
The back has a large grill for the outgoing air along with the on/off switch and cable connector:
Here is the bundle of additional modular cables. Not only they have their own carrying pouch, but they are nicely sleeved and well marked so not to create any confusion as to which goes where:
We keep mentioning carrying pouches, they are indeed two – the second one is for the PSU itself, though the necessity of such action is doubtful. But, hey, you could always use it for something else:
So, we showed you the cables, now we'll even tell you what kinds there are:
