CeBIT 2009 3-8 March, Hannover (Germany), day 1

Page 8 - Cougar (PSU's)

Cougar are PSU manufacturer that eluded our attention for quite some time now. Running in them at CeBIT however fixed that and valuable contact information was exchanged. They make various powerful (and not so) PSU's ranging from 300W - 1200W, both modular and non-modular. Most of them are very power efficient, with models having bronze, silver and gold efficiency certificate (meaning that the PSU had passed the tests and had efficiency above 80% under different load).

Very few PSU's get gold certificate (87% at 20% and 100% load, 90% at 50% load). Maybe in the future we'll get to rest one such PSU in our lab :)
