The pad actually came along with the Razer Naga mouse – as part of the unique Press Edition set, which we were honored to receive. That's why you'll easily recognize the box:
The pad itself comes in a cool acrylic case that provides comfort and security for transporting. Its cover bears the Razer logo on its top right corner and is held in place by four small magnets, which to my surprise proved to be quite strong, preventing the possibility of it opening by accident.
The first thing to notice is that the pad is completely white, sans the black company and pad names at the bottom left corner. The pictures in the Razer website are a tad misleading, I was under the impression its logo glows in the dark. Turns out that's not quite so. In order to make the pad lit up, we fave to put it under UV light. Only then its true beauty shines as you can see on the pictures below (I do apologize for their poor quality, apparently my camera cannot function properly in lower light conditions ;( ):
Unfortunately the set we're reviewing provides no additional material that would provide more information about Razer Megasoma, so the pictures are the only thing we have to offer before proceeding to the tests.
