Design and comfort

Compared to other gaming mice, Razer Salmosa is a tad smaller, but that in no way makes it uncomfortable to use. Аu contraire! This Razer is incredibly comfortable. Your hand will "stick" to the surface from the first touch even, so comfy it is that letting go is hard :)

Drivers are very easy to install. So when you're done with them just kick the restart button and enjoy. And enjoyment is guarantied with each of three sections in them:

  • Sensitivity is the place where you set the mouse speed, double click speed and turning on the On – The – Fly Sensitivity option. That last one allows you to change mouse sensitivity of the mouse without entering any menu. In this "Sensitivity" section you also get the Advanced Sensitivity Settings, that allow you to make additional... settings.
  • Scroll Wheel Tabis the place where you regulate the scroll wheel speed and turn on the Universal Scrolling.
  • Buttons Tab is the place with most options to be set. You could choose which hand will you be using the mouse with. Any of the three buttons is programmable and you could also choose a button to be attached to the Universal Scrolling function. The button you choose to assign will behave like this - each time you press and hold it, the mouse movement will perform the function of the scroll wheel. This way you'll get the option to set the directional moves of the wheel without loosing primary function.

Tests

The mouse performs well in any kind of game. All shots become accurate, unit control gets to be more precise. The "feel" when playing with Salmosa is unique. I happen to be a man that can't play FPS games with fast mouse. Not a problem with Salmosa, all my shots were true. No enemy was spared. The only thing is you won't get the complete real "feel" without a good gaming pad. I got to test Salmosa with both Razer Goliathus and a common pad. Difference was amazing. You will need a good pad in order to fully appreciate such fine gaming mouse.
