Every major company provides software support for its devices. Companies of Logitech's rank have whole departments in charge of developing, testing and improving the software. This by itself alone is very important, since the only way for the multiple functions of a given product to be used is through being backed up by proper software, most often with interface through which the user has easy and intuitive means of personalizing the products functions. For Logitech this software is named SetPoint and honestly speaking it performs its duty just like you would like it to. :)

Each special button of Logitech Wave can be reset to do whatever you like it to. Be it to open any given program, to start a process, execute a key combo (macro)... anything you please!

The same is with the blue marked keys too. They are intended to start all of the popular programs such as Word, Excel, web browser, email client, instant messenger and so on, yet you have to freedom to choose which program would they run. Even if it doesn't relate to the icon in blue :)

And last, but not least it updates itself upon availability of newer version, as long as you have internet connectivity. After we gave you all this "superficial" information it's time for testing and evaluation.
