ASUS P6T Deluxe was amongst the first motherboards available side by side with Intel Core i7 upon its release four weeks ago. The company made everything possible to provide itself with a good starting position for the new platform and according to our test - quite successful indeed. The motherboard has a solid amount of features, its NVIDIA certifies and supports SLI, of course it supports the open Crossfire platform too. The overclock potential of the board is immense, each and every aspect seems carefully thought out and even the very first BIOS is completely stable (we found no bugs or problems, and that is truly rare in first edition motherboard, not to mention first edition motherboard for completely new platform). With a clear conscience we can state that ASUS P6T Deluxe has only one bad thing about it - the maximum memory voltage its able to supply - a mere 1.65V. The reason for this is the processor integrated memory controller, a shortcoming easily corrected by a "buffer" between the memory and the CPU in newer ASUS Rampage II Extreme models and in the X58 Eclipse motherboard from MSI (still they cost 30% more). So for the price of approximately 400$ in Bulgaria, ASUS P6T Deluxe is definitely one of the most lucrative (and fine) Intel Core i7 motherboards. Still the question of whether the performance of the new platform is worth its price is one you have to answer by yourself.
