At CeBIT a debut made the new Scythe PSU - Chouriki. This is a high quality PSU with modular and non-modular variant. More info will be available soon, alas for now we can provide only photos.
The company is well known for their other devices such as fan controllers, speakers (as in 5.25" slot speakers that is), and even different models of disk cases. One of the more noticeable new fan controller models is Kaze Server. We wondered what is the "server" part there for, but the staff assured us its just a name - they too had no idea what in the world possessed the marketing department to choose the Kaze Server name. The model is available in 5.25" and miniaturized 3.5" variant. There were also a variety of other multi-function bays, card readers, diagnostic panels and such.
And here are the above mentioned devices for esteemed high audio quality lovers... should you believe that the key to a good sound is hidden in a panel sold mostly in Japan, the birth place of the tamagochi :) Still to ease you mind here are some photos of bays allowing easy attaching of hard drives (Kama bay).
Soon we'll be seeing the new Scythe cases in the shops. The model however is still not completely finished, still even in its current state it looks impressive enough. On its left the company displays its first 2.1 channel system, that is very reasonably priced while sounding very nice (as far as the ambient noise at CeBIT allowed us to hear).
Scythe had also put on display their fans - the well known S-Flex, which according to them had proven themselves to be highly effective in quite some reviews.
Summing it all up for the Scythe at CeBIT - this was one of the stands that showed most new, unreleased yet products, along with many other interesting items and tons of useful information :)
