In short the pros of the GlacialTech Igloo 5750 SILENT that we found are:

  • Surely meets the demands of the price range it's placed in - absolute silence
  • Holds up rather nice performance
  • Low price, when it's available should be something under 50 leva (25 Euro)
  • Easy to install and uninstall, you don't have to remove the motherboard
  • It's light, you won't worry that it'll tumble down with pieces of your motherboard in case of more "aggressive" case moving around
  • It has potential to to be "clocking" cooler if you replace its fans with one ore two more powerful ones
  • It looks cool :)

Cons are summed in the fact that it performs just like a box cooler (with quad-core processors at least), but then again GlacialTech Igloo 5750 SILENT never attempted to do more. This cooler is engineered with the idea supplying quietness at reasonable price (considering rival products). Sure, the box cooler does keep the same temperatures, but at that the whole case was vibrating from its fan :) The second key disadvantage is that for the time being the cooler is unaccessible in Bulgarian stores, though it's expected that this will change soon.

So if you are looking for silence rather than performance, this is most likely the cooler for you. Expect not too much from it and for your money you will get more than usual, even though this is still a just a budget cooler. GlacialTech had definitely done well and Igloo 5750 surely deserves its 8.0/10 mark and ModReactor's "Recommended" award.
