NoiseBlocker 120mm

The Good
  • Nice propeller (see-through with blue-purple color)
  • Low noise level (for XL1)
  • Decent price
  • 3 years warranty

The Bad
  • Weak airflow for the noise it produces (for XL2)
  • The cable is not sleeved

When taken into account that the price of this product in Bulgaria is about 7.50 EUR, the fans perform well and definitely the weaker model can be chosen by many of you, who want their computer to be silent. Nevertheless my personal opinion is that I would look for another better solution both with more expensve products or with cheaper, but noisier noisier ones.

EDIT: the new models from NoiseBlocker come with sleeved cable now, we got one of the first manufactured samples, so one of the concerns with this products are off! As for the rattling noise it was seen only with XL2 and it definitely came from the bearing. Most probably this was an isolated glitch - we suspect due to dried lubricant in the sleeved bearing.

Akasa 120mm

The Good
  • Stable and powerful flow
  • Considerably low noise level
  • Very catchy looks

The Bad
  • Short cable
  • Cable is not sleeved

Akasa's fan performed worthy and left only good impressions, excluding the scarce information on the back of the box. On the whole the noise level is low and the fan itself when working looks quite nice with its see-through frame and blue propeller. Definitely a very good solution combining strong airflow with low noise level.

Gelid Wing 12

The Good
  • Strong flow
  • Nanoflux bearing (NFB) technology, enabling the propeller to be taken off
  • Water and dust proof
  • UV reactive
  • Very good bundle
  • Fan controller
  • 5 years warranty
  • Sleeved cables

The Bad
  • Flow not stable at maximum setting
  • Not available in Bulgaria

Here came the time to share some words about the fan, that personally for me was the best amongst the tested. Even when unpacking it you can tell that you get a lot more than an ordinary fan and that truly is so. The only thing that will stop most people from buying it is the price of $16 and laso that the model (and the brand on the whole) is not available in Bulgaria. The other shortcoming is there not because the product is bad, but because it is not perfect. I truly recommend this product to everyone who can get it, and if after that he is not happy with it, I will buy it from him!

NoiseBlocker 92mm

The Good
  • Considerably low noise level
  • Decent airflow
  • Nice propeller (see-through with blue-purple color)

The Bad
  • Price

The 92mm variants of NoiseBlocker definitely are better than their 120mm siblings. The noise level is even low with the more powerful one (lets call it bearable) compared with the bigger 120mm, which rumbled with very irritating and strange noise. As for the airflow both models perform well, as for the price of about 5,50 EUR they are not bad solution for everyone who looks for silence, but for every other one of you probably there will be cheaper products with greater performance.

EDIT: the new models from NoiseBlocker come with sleeved cable now, we got one of the first manufactured samples, so one of the concerns with this products are off!

NoiseBlocker 80mm

The Good
  • Nice propeller (see-through with blue-purple color)
  • Strong and stable flow
  • Low noise level
  • 3 years warranty
  • Good overall performance

The Bad
  • Price could be slightly lower

On the whole the performance of these NoiseBlocker models was good. The only thing that can be added is concerning the price of about 6.30 EUR.

Akasa 80mm

The Good
  • Nice looks
  • Low noise level
  • Powerful and stable flow
  • PWM

The Bad
  • Could have more information about the product

The fan performs on par, really, but in my opinion the box had to be a little more informative. The information is very scarce and too general as the one most significant statistic – the airflow – is missing. And after all the positive with this fan is also the fact that it is PWM.

Evercool Rifling

The Good
  • Innovative design
  • Nice looks
  • Strong and stable flow
  • Adapter for standard molex power

The Bad
  • The price is about 18$
  • No anti-vibration mounts in the bundle

Definitely a very good fan, which is a little expensive for the prices we are usedto with 80mm models, but after all the money are justified. This is a very good proof of concept and I recommend it to everyone!
