HDT processor coolers had recently become very popular, and nowadays more and more models flood the market. A while ago we received one Akasa product of the type and now is the time to review it. Today we'll tell you a tail of Nero AK-967 and what it does. Our partners from Akasa were kind enough and supplies to us…
We first spotted WowWee's Cinemin Swivel pico projector back at CES, when it was announced along with the Stick and Station models. If you forgot, the little DLP guy boasts 480 x 360 resolution, an adjustable 90-degree hinge (so that you can easily project onto the ceiling), and a three-hour battery life. It's just…
We had a hunch that Computex would be a massive show for NVIDIA, and while we already caught a glimpse of what the GPU manufacturer had in store, we had no idea it'd come out with guns this big a-blazin'. Showing absolutely no mercy for those other integrated graphics sets of the world, NV's today unveiled 21 new…
There are apparently an awful, awful lot of people out there with shoe boxes full of spare SATA drives. Somebody is buying all these new HDD docks, and while most surpass the previous editions by adding support for another obscure format of memory card, Brando's latest seems like an actually useful update, adding HDMI…
Just as it did with the Z-Drive at CeBIT, OCZ Technology has delivered a few surprises across the way at Computex. Kicking things off the 17-inch DIY gaming laptop, which takes a note from the DIY-styled Neutrino, but gets a much bigger form factor. It's one of the few laptops that actually arrive sans a CPU, hard…
We've seen some pretty weird stuff in our years on this planet -- heck, we've revived our own drenched Sony DAP by burying it in rice for 48 hours -- but this is easily one of the most bizarre gizmo resurrections we've ever come across. As the tale goes, one valiant NVIDIA GPU owner apparently bit on a myth which…
Wait, what's this? ASUS diving head first into the HD media streamer game? Based on images and details acquired by Hardware, we'd say chances are looking pretty good. Reportedly, the aforementioned outfit will showcase its very own media player at Computex next week in Taiwan, and our expectations are already fairly…
Look up there, folks. That's the future of Sony's hopes and dreams in the handheld gaming sector. With just hours to go before the company's official E3 2009 press event, it looks like the pieces are all coming together. 3.8-inch display (resolution is undisclosed) 43 percent lighter than the PSP-3000 16GB of Flash…
Very recently we reviewed the most unique case we've had our hands on and the lads (actually it was a lass) from Cooler Master said - "Your going to review a cool case, so we're going to throw in it an even cooler PSU”. And so, apparently today we're going to review for you one of the top models of that manufacturer…
So, the Modreactor lab received another batch of quality PSU's. We wasted no time admiring them, assembled our most powerful rig yet and began testing them. In this review well see how how do they compare to each other, when powering high class computer with two video cards and high end power hungry CPU. The…
If an atomic zombie is molesting you, get this coil gun, aim with its built-in laser gun sight and pew-pew a metal projectile at 110km/h into his rotting cranium, with a total energy of 18 joules. Don't count on holding an invasion of them, though. The coil gun—which uses electromagnetic coils configured as a…
The mystery of the Alienware 'allpowerful' has been pierced a few days before E3—a brand new m17x stuffed with so much power it might just cause cancer: Dual 1GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 280M graphics cards and a Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad-Core CPU for starters. You can also stuff it with up to 8GB of DDR3-1333 RAM, 1TB HDD…
Zol.com.cn has managed to take some pictures of the upcoming single-PCB GeForce GTX 295. Expected to arrive within a month, the single-PCB GTX 295 features the same specs as the dual-PCB model - 2x448bit memory interface, 480 Processing Cores and 1792MB of GDDR3 memory, and GPU/shader/memory clocks of 576/1242/1998…
Just think of the possibilities. 49 beer-filled USB drives. 49 humping dogs. 49 tiny, disturbing, plastic strippers. And, for you lonely types, 49 robot vaginas. It's like Brando's wet dream come to life. We're not really sure where this 49-port powered USB hub came from, only that it's designed not for robot vagina…
AMEX Digital doesn't seem to have found a gadget that it doesn't like, and it looks like media players are no exception, as evidenced by the company's new Venice V38HD device. Based on Sigma Designs' SMP8635/4 chipset, this one looks to pack just about everything you'd want short of a full-fledged media PC, including…
oft spot for Lego Technic and the Off-roader is a textbook example of what makes this range of supposed kids toys so awesome. The 8297 truck is very intricately designed, a quality that culminates in a feature list longer than an issue of Custom PC magazine. The off-roader boasts working pistons, active suspension to…

We've just been hepped to a video by someone named Phreakmonkey, wherein he gets his hands on a Model A Acoustic Coupler Modem and puts it through its ever lovin' paces. Manufactured by Livermore Data Systems ca. 1964, the 300 baud device uses an analog signal powered by the computer's serial port. Of course, getting…
David Penfold or Mremulator as he's more widely known on various forums, was inspired by last year's Custom PC Dream PC labs test winner - The Great White, entered by Scan.co.uk. While it used the same Silverstone TJ-07 case, David's Overclocked Orange took on a very different form early on but also boasted a monster…

Through the past year Cooler Master showed us quite a lot of interesting products for gamers, overclockers and hardware enthusiasts. Today we're reviewing one of their creations based on the Storm series cases, bearing the odd "HAF 932" name. As you might already know, Cooler Master created a separate product line,…
One of the first mid-range motherboards by ASUS, the P7P55 Pro smiled for the camera at XFastest. The motherboard comes across as yet another shining example of how simple Intel has made the motherboard by relocating the northbridge to the CPU package. The LGA-1156 socket CPU is powered by an 8+2 phase power circuit.…
