KOBIAN – suspiciously cute emotionally burdened humanoid robot
Researchers from Tmsuk I Waseda University teamed up to create new humanoid robot. Just when you think you saw everything, they present you KOBIAN - a project, which not only fascinates, but also can send shivers up your back and invoke thoughts of not so bright cyber future. Basically, KOBIAN is based on two previous projects – the bipedal WABIAN-2 and WE-4RII, who on its side can express emotions. Thus their offspring can not only walk around, perceive its environment and complete simple tasks, but also can express numerous emotions. Maybe on the above picture KOBIAN looks quite cute and astonished, but check the video below. After all maybe now it is not long the future, where John Connor hides behind a corner, fighting for the mankind’s freedom cyborgs, armed with more than good manners, red lips, movable eyelids and eyebrows:
