Intel Aims at 4nm Fabrication Process in 2022
Intel has recently presented its process technology roadmap at a special event in Japan, indicating that the company plans to make chips using 4nm technology.
For the past years, Intel has been keeping upgrading its process technologies once in two years, which is one of the reasons why the company always takes the lead in the industry. As you can see, Intel will have 22nm process in 2012 and 4nm technology in 2022.
Of course, the update for process technology involves lots of difficulties and technical problems, so it’s yet to be seen if things will fall into line.
